In this class Michael will be teaching carving on your turning. He will cover layout and design, power carving, coloring and texturing. For those interested he will cover sculpting on heavy wall turnings. Items to bring would include power carvers, turned pieces to work on and a sense of creativity. This is an intermediate to advanced class. Michael has plenty of carvers for those that do not have their own. Please bring your safety gear also. The class will be both days from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The fee for this comprehensive class is $400.00
THIN WALLED VASES AND HOLLOW VESSELS

Michael will show you his method of turning a thin walled open vase (as thin as you like, 1/8" to 1/16"). This includes the use of the bowl gouge, hook tools and scrapers. The hollow vessel portion of this class will include the use of simple hollowing tools, and laser guided tools, and the technique of hollowing with a bowl gouge. Items to bring include are hollowing tools, laser and simple tools and normal turning tools. Please bring your safety gear also. The class will be both days from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
